The director aimed to create a movie that will work like the closing part of the Batman series.  The Dark Knight Rises keeps the main elements from the casts of the previous two sequels. The action of the movie is situated in time with a delay of eight years as compared to the events of the previous sequel. The sequel presents two new main roles running under the names of Selina Kyle and Bane.

An interesting fact about the birth of the third sequel (besides the fact the director had doubts about even creating the third part in the fear of not being able to deliver the same quality and intensity of action) is that it can be related to three different issues of the Batman comic book series, which is sort of a guarantee for one to see a plot complicated enough and the complex evolution of the main characters.

This movie shall offer the viewers an outstanding experience in 3D just like its predecessor, Step Up 3D. Even though the director remained the same person, the production and distribution of the current sequel has been taken over by another company. The current sequel of this notorious dance movie promises to deliver deeper implications on several societal levels. The protagonist of the movie called Emily comes from a very rich family in Miami to pursue her dreams of turning into a professional dancer. Here she begins to experience feelings of love towards a character called Sean, who is the head of a local dance group called MOB, specialized in creating flash mobs. MOB aims to win a dancing competition that involves interests that conflict with the ones of Emily’s dad and he tries to intimidate them forcing the people who live in the neighborhood of MOB to leave their homes.

Initially, the theme and action of the movie was targeting the population of under eighteen of the United States of America (and the rest of the world also), but eventually it became a mass entertainment product targeting mainly an adult audience. Four somewhat regular guys live in the same neighborhood of suburbia and they form a watch group under the veil of intending to make the neighborhood safer, but in fact they all try to sort of escape from their annoying families.

Even the cast of the main roles provides a bulletproof guarantee for one to have fun while watching this sequel, including Ben Stiller (forced to move to suburbia by his wife, a pathetic character, initiating group just to make friends, because otherwise he does not have any), Vince Vaughn (he uses his membership to secretly check up on his daughter’s amorous activities), Jonah Hill (he enters the group because he was not admitted in the local police force), and Richard Ayoade. However, they discover by mistake a secret alien attempt to occupy Earth and they have to take a stand against it.

While the studio that produces this high quality source of entertainment remained the same and so did its distributor, the movie was not directed by Carlos Saldanha. Unlike the original Ice Age sequel, the second sequel entitled The Meltdown and the third sequel entitled Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the newest sequel of the series will have a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.

Regardless of the changes made on the directing set, the three main characters of Ice Age 4: Continental Drift are going to be Manny the mammoth, Diego the tiger and Sid the sloth. They will go on another quest following the fact the continent they live on is floating freely. Their vessel is an iceberg and on it they travel the ocean and meanwhile they meet various maritime animal beings, not to mention they get involved into fierce fights against sea robbers and discover an unknown universe to them.

Ice Age 4 was programmed to be officially released in Barcelonawith the occasion of a film festival, but the public premiere of the movie is going to take place in Belgium, on the 27^th of June 2012 and respectively, in the United States of America, on the 13^th of July 2012.

The documentary deals with the problem that the President of Maldives faces in the face of climate change an global warming. His country is one of the many low lying countries in the world which face the danger of being totally submerged under water if the current rate of global warming continues. In fact, it is estimated that the 1200 islands of the country are at the risk of being totally eliminated from the face of the earth if there is a three feet rise in the sea level.

The documentary gives the viewer a glimpse into the President’s early years as a democracy advocate, something which led him to be tortured and imprisoned several times. He fought through that war and after thirty years won, and thereafter culminating into his being elected the country’s President.

The documentary also gives us a glimpse to the President’s first term in office and into the delicate negotiations of the Copenhagen Climate Summit. It follows his thoughts through the negotiations, his persuasive arguments and his frustrations in trying to navigate through the various conflicting interests of parties involved in the negotiations. It contains clips on his using the media and pleading for unity among other developing countries to see his message pass through.

This documentary directed by Jon Shenk is a candid account of a man on a mission to ensure the survival of his country and has deservingly been nominated for various awards.

The Raven is arguably one of Poe’s most famous works. This movie’s plot is largely based on Edgar Poe’s works and asks the question, what if all his worst nightmares were to come true?

When various murders occur in a town, which are committed based on the fictional works of Edgar Allan Poe, a young detective who has the duty of apprehending the killer seeks Poe’s help. Together, they both embark on a journey after the serial killer. To make things more complicated, the killer kidnaps one of the people close to Poe, and thus raises the stakes for the writer himself. To the killer, it is a game but to other people, it is a matter of life and death.

Edgar Allan Poe is thus forced to use his instincts and creativity to try and solve the mystery of the killer before it is too late. Using his other works and clues intentionally left behind by the killer, Poe struggles to catch the perpetrator before somebody close to him becomes the next victim.

This is definitely an interesting movie with the various twists and turns in the plot making it less predictable. It definitely has a good level of suspense as the writer and detective struggle to save lives and catch the person behind the murders. The film has been rated R mainly due to the fact that it features the grisly murders of the serial killer in detail. People who enjoy explcit horrifying murder scenes will thus find the film appealing.

V for Vendetta’s director, James McTeigue is the director of this film which features a talented cast. John Cusack takes the lead role in this film as Edgar Allan Poe, with Luke Evans of “Immortals” acting as the young Baltimore detective who seeks the writer’s help in solving the murders. Jackson-Cohen, Brendan Gleeson and Alice Eve are also featured in the film.

This is a comedy about a couple who tires of their day to day lives in the city and choose to escape it by joining a community which emphasizes on being oneself. The couple, George and Linda, finds itself overburdened by the pressures of the day to day city life. The decision to finally find an escape from it is made easy for them once the husband is downsized, which leaves them with the option of moving to Atlanta so as to live with George’s brother.

On the road to Atlanta, the couple comes across a small community of Elysium. This is a simple community whose people are largely idealistic and who have a totally different outlook towards life from the one George and Linda are used to. They believe in the ultimate happiness and the fact that most things which most people put emphasis on, such as money, careers and clothes are actually not that important. The only rule of the colorful characters in the story seems to be that people should be themselves.

It is actually hilarious as people explore their innermost desires and do what they actually want to do. As George and Linda explore this new experience and feel part of the community, new challenges come with their new experiences. What they actually thought was good for them has its pitfalls. The question that they ask themselves is whether the whole new experience is good for them or actually bad for their relationship.

The movie is well directed with a good dose of well-timed humor. It is a good film that explores the alternative to our urban fast paced life. It explores the possibilities of what life could be if we actually got rid of the day to day burdens of the modern urban life.
With a talented cast of Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston, this is a must watch for people who love comedies.

Drink or die. Most people don’t even need to be threatened in order to enjoy a drink. However, things are different for the citizens of a small Irish island. For the locals on Eris Island, things are about to drastically change, although no one expects anything. Ireland is a peaceful place where people can use any reason to drink. In Grabbers, the director prepares an alien invasion. Unlike most expectations, this is not yet another movie with monsters, vampires or zombies getting ready to take over the world.

The story begins with the boring life of Ciarán, a local police officer who spends most of his day in a local pub. He has no idea that his day is about to change. Making up a team with an impassioned female officer – Lisa, the two find themselves having to face some unexpected problems. They first notice a few dead whales, while things tend to aggravate when the first decapitated fishermen are discovered. In the end, Grabbers brings in a powerful group of creatures. They got big tentacles, huge jaws and their main hobby seems to be mincing people.

At some moment, Ciarán and Lisa find out that the only way to avoid the creatures is to constantly drink. This way, the blood would be contaminated with alcohol, which is toxic to the creatures. Therefore, there is only one way to fight the invasion. The locals need to get everyone drunk in order to survive. There is nothing wrong with that in their opinion. However, someone must stay conscious and sober. Ciarán takes over this task and for the first time in a very long time, he has to deal with various challenges without any drinks at all. Grabbers presents an unusual story no one has thought about before. The monster idea is not new, but the way to deal with it is definitely innovative.

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted brings back together the classic characters that made history in the first two parts – the lion Alex, the zebra Marty, the hippopotamus Gloria and Melman, the funny giraffe. The first two parts gained a lot of popularity for the funny and talkative characters, but the third one is expected to seriously kick the charts. Aside from these already famous characters, the audience will get to meet a few new “people”, such as Captain Dubois, two tigers – Gia and Vitaly – and a sea calf – Stefano.

The first part presented the funny animals escaping from the zoo they were hosted at. The second one brought in a new and interesting adventure in Africa. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted is obvious. The famous characters are now starting a new adventure on the old continent. This time, they have to get over Europe. In an attempt to get back to New York, they need to get some money, so they decide to come up with a circus. The first images presented by DreamWorks Animation come with a lot of promises. The fans expect plenty of action, including a psychedelic circus show on Katy Perry’s music. The first two parts had an unexpected and amazing success. This third one is said to rock the party.

Just like in other famous animations, this movie is not just a funny story presenting some adventures. The animation tells the story of powerful feelings, the needs for communication, love and closeness. Although the characters are played by animals, they share human feelings. The technique is a little different compared to other similar movies. The luxuriant and green landscape adverts to Henri Rousseau’s paintings. The scenario is green and seems divine. The movie will have a higher impact for those who choose to see it in a 3D cinema.
