This is the sequel to the 2007 acclaimed film, Ghost Rider, back with a bang featuring Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze. The upcoming superhero film shot in 3D is based on the Ghost Rider marvel comic and is set to be released officially on 17 February 2012. The movie also features Johnny Whitworth playing the part of Roarke Carrigan also known as blackout who is turned from being human into Blackout by the devil to have the capacity and fortitude to ably compete on the same level with Ghost Rider or Johnny blaze.
Among the cast is Ciaran Hinds who plays the part of the devil who tries to take over the body of blaze’ son during his birthday, Violante Placido as Nadya, Idris Elba as Moreau and Christopher Lambert as Methodius who is a monk. The other cast members provide enough support to make this movie a blockbuster. Nicholas Cage provides another flawless masterpiece in this second installation of Ghost Rider.
The story goes that Johnny Blaze who is a former bounty hunter is now living in exile as he believes he powers he possesses is a curse. He is approached by the monastery through a representative, Methodius, with the sole task and mission of protecting a mother and son being tracked by the devil who is in the body of a man named Roarke. The Ghost Rider decides to take the case not knowing that the enemy this time round is more determined and aggressive than he initially anticipated.
The action, adventure, sequel film distributed by Sony pictures is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. It is produced by Steven Paul, Ashok Amritraj and Michael De Luca.
