It is said that the first love can never be forgotten. In That’s My Boy, this unwritten rule gets a completely different meaning. While he was only fourteen years old, Donny had fully consumed his first love and got in bed with a teacher, who ended up pregnant. He got to raise the kid on his own. Unlike most expectations, the kid grew to become a successful businessman. Eighteen years of anger and hard life convinced him to pursue his dreams and push to get over the unpleasant situation. He lived with an immature and irresponsible father who only loved to party and have fun.
Soon after turning eighteen, Todd decides to run away from home and tries to build a successful career. That’s My Boy presents the hard times he had to go through in order to become what he hoped to be. Years later, Todd becomes a successful investor. There have been years since he hasn’t seen his father and none of them tried to get in touch with the other. However, at some point, the destiny decides Donny has to pay for years of depravity. He finds out that he is one step away from bankruptcy for not paying his taxes for quite a while. His one and only destination is the prison.
This comedy presents the story of an irresponsible father who aims to rebuild the relationship with his son only to get out of the awful financial situation. He gets back to his son, who is just about to get married. But for one reason or another, he has an impossible time with his upcoming daughter-in-law.
