Vengeance returns with 3D fury as the Vampires, Lycan clans and humans renew their rivalry with the humans working to make the two species extinct and the Vampires, through warrioress Selene, also plans a final battle to eradicate the humans.
This new installation, like the previous ones, comes back with hard hitting fights as the battles and fights are more vicious. Kate beckinsale who starred in the first two Underworld movies returns in a lead capacity as the vampire who escaped captivity to encounter a world where the humans have declared an all-out war on the immortals, Vampires and Lycans.
The twist in this third segment is that Selene wakes up after about 15 years from a coma-like state to discover that she has a hybrid, of vampire and Lycan, daughter named Nissa. After finding her fourteen-year-old daughter, she decides to do her utmost best to stop BioCom, the company that is creating super Lycans , with the aim of using them to kill all the vampires. If you thought the previous versions had exhausted the gore and violence levels, then you are seriously misled, because Awakening has more of these factors.
Underworld: Awakening movie comes back with a more intense plot made up of the usual suspects and new members like Kate Beckinsale, Michael Ealy, India Eisley and Charles Dance among others. The movie is directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, the writers are Len Wiseman and John Hlavin. The action, horror, fantasy film with a release date of 20 January 2012, will most definitely excite the franchise fans especially as it has been shot in 3D which will make the scenes more amazing.
